If you were to look at someone's bank statements, it likely would give you a good idea of what they treasure. Maybe they value the money itself and feel a strong sense of security in saving up. Maybe they spend every dime on momentary pleasures and possessions, building up earthly treasures and experiences. Or maybe they hold it loosely, giving it to the church and to others. As Pastor Danny will point out in the example of the Pharisees, they thought that they were so close to God when really they had made self their God.
