A Robinson Township officer has been charged in a road rage incident.

A Robinson Township officer has been charged in a road rage incident. Steve Pies was off duty when he allegedly punched business owner Al Cannella because he didn't yield to Pies at an intersection. The criminal complaint says Pies followed Cannella to the parking lot of Al's Texaco on July 2nd and punched him in the face with enough force to knock him out. Five days later Cannella was diagnosed with fractured ribs. Pies is out on bond pending a preliminary hearing and is on paid leave with Robinson police.
