A robot that helps "pick up" around the house and a four-year grudge about a sandwich.

from ROCK MORNINGS · host Brian Simpson

Another weekend in the books. Another work week has begun. In the news today, the air quality in Wisconsin continues to suck, Loni Anderson passed away over the weekend, American Eagle has responded to the backlash over the Sydney Sweeney ad campaign, the latest on a deadly shooting at a bar in Montana this weekend, and there have been 9 confirmed cases of the measles in Wisconsin. In sports, the Brewers sweep the Nats, William Byron wins in Iowa, the Miz is on the IL, and the NFL preseason kicks off this week. Elsewhere in sports, a recap of WWE's SummerSlam, Luka gets a big fat contract extension from the Lakers, and the NFL inducted five more players into it's Hall of Fame over the weekend. We let you know what's on TV today/tonight, and we talked about the new "Wednesday Addams" meal at Wendy's that coincides with the second season premiere on Netflix. In creepy robot news, there's a company that's working on a robot that can pick up things like Legos and smaller toys so that you don't step on them in the middle of the night. We all love watching videos of cats doing crazy & stupid things…now there's a legit "Cat Video Fest" you can attend. And a cop in Pennsylvania is getting some love online after he stopped by a local lemonade stand. Funny story about a camper who was thought to be in distress because of his loud yelling, but he was just singing some Nickelback tunes. ICYMI, another WNBA game got interrupted by a sex toy being thrown onto the court. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a couple who abandoned their son at an airport so they wouldn't miss their flight, a website that claims "big beach balls" is our new favorite fetish, a bunch of hot dogs ended up on a highway in PA after a semi crash, a calendar glitch from many years ago, a guy who got busted for stealing Smokey The Bear signs and selling them, and a stabbing over a sandwich that was made FOUR years ago.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
