A Sacrifice

from Stories of Appalachia · host Steve Gilly, Rod Mullins

In 1939 Clair Young lived with his wife and their children on a farm in Fallowfield Township in southwestern Pennsylvania.  In addition to farming, Clair also was a coal miner and a lay preacher of the Gospel. And Clair was hearing voices.  Voices telling him to do bad things.  Today we tell the tragic story of Clair Young and his baby daughter, Ada.
