At the beginning of May, Iran (one of the world's worst affected COVID - 19 regions) began to reduce their own lockdown measures, opening up Mosques and public transport systems in a move deemed by many as irresponsibly premature. In the four weeks since, Iran has seen a mass resurgence of the virus, as positive case results pass its previous worst heights from mid-April.
