A Sermon on Galatians 3:1-14

from Fairlea Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church · host Fairlea Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church

Galatians 3:1-14 "Faith and Righteousness"On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther nailed 95 statements or "theses" to the door of the church of Wittenberg, Germany. These were meant to start a discussion on forgiveness and authority, but they sparked a reformation. On what is our righteousness based? Is it based on our ability to keep the Law well enough, or is it based on the work and righteousness of Jesus? The answer to these questions is eternally significant.Paul argues that our righteousness is founded upon the righteousness of Jesus, and on that alone. If your hope is in your ability to keep the Law, you are under the full curse of the Law. However, God is glorified in knowing that our salvation came through Jesus becoming cursed for us. Our past, present, and future status as the children of God are secure in the completed work of Jesus. Please visit Our Website to learn more about the ministry of Fairlea Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
