Judges 9:1-21 "Abimelech & the Trees"What happens when Abimelech's ambition gets out of hand, and he acts more like a Canaanite oppressor than God's king? Jotham's fable declares that Shechem and Abimelech will be God's instruments of judgment. But the judgment will fall on them, not on the enemies of God's people. This chapter reminds us that God's grace is freely offered, but that offer does have an end date.
