A Sermon on Romans 15:14-16

Romans 15:14-16 "Goodness"This sermon focuses on the Fruit of the Spirit, Goodness. Goodness has an internal and external focus.Internally, Goodness is linked to righteousness. In Luke 6, Jesus said that goodness comes from the heart. Psalm 15 describes what a good or righteous heart looks like. We need the righteousness of Jesus to have good hearts.Externally, goodness is marked by integrity and generosity. People of integrity live their lives the same publicly as they do privately. Their "Yes means yes," and their "No means no." Generous people focus on meeting the needs of others because God commands his people to care about the poor and oppressed.We must always keep this order in focus.
