A Short Break in Toad Town (Bowser's Inside Story - Orchestral Arrangement)

Hi everybody - Sorry for the lack of new songs. I really intended to upload a song for November, but I just couldn't fit it in: November is such a crazy time at university, and the one song I had planned to upload ran into some frustrating technical difficulties. But here I am with a new tune, so on to the good news! You might hear a difference in sound for this track. That's because I finally got around to buying Kontakt! I picked it up during the Thanksgiving sale, and I'm super excited use it some more. The instruments are of much greater quality and variety than anything that I've previously used. I just wanted to create a nice little orchestral arrangement, nothing too crazy. This piece was mainly for practicing orchestration, but I think it turned out pretty good! I was inspired to do this song after listening to Jonathan Aldrich's piano cover - he is very talented, but underrated, by the way (if you like video game covers, especially Mario, Kirby, and EarthBound, check him out: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq40ak4VJQW0ZICTcPCY3mw). His video really reminded me of how lovely this song this is. Yoko Shimomura, as usual, did a fantastic job with this game's soundtrack. More good news: it'll be Christmas break! To make up for my lack of uploading this past month, I will be posting a number of songs to celebrate the holidays! They will be winter/Christmas themed video game covers - I'm really excited to show you what I have planned. I'll share more details later in the month, so stay tuned!
