A Simple Habit That (Sort of) Fixed My awkwardness for Good
from The Dark Needle Episodes · host The Black Needle
It doesn’t matter how socially awkward you are right now, because I was probably more awkward than you. Imagine that I came from a village in a third-world country, from a place where we didn’t even have a stable internet connection. Then, when it was time for university, I moved from that place to study abroad in a first-world country. So just try to imagine where I came from and where I studied at university. And the problem didn’t stop there. Even in my own country, I was an introverted, socially awkward nerd. They took me from a village and placed me in the heart of a big, unfamiliar city. I was like an alien who had come to live on planet Earth among humans. I literally had no idea how to deal with people. But because I was studying psychology and was obsessed with learning, I spent a lot of time studying human behavior and psychology. I also spent a lot of time analyzing the young men I noticed were socially successful. Eventually, I managed to discover one secret. This secret was what helped me overcome my social awkwardness, until I became capable of sitting in a group of 20 people and being the most interesting, the most charismatic, and the funniest person among them. How did I do it? That is the subject of today’s video. Welcome to the Social Skills series, and welcome to this guide on how to overcome social awkwardness for good.
