A Sisters Love: Rosenda Strong

from Voices for the Voiceless: The story of Rosenda Strong

This episode I have two classmates from Heritage University (Lovey Vanpelt & Jessica Wesley) help me tell just a little on recent statistics of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons. We then interview Cissy Strong who is a advocate for the MMIP movement. Cissy's sister Rosenda Strong was murdered on October 5th, 2018. She helps us understand her experience with this heartbreaking crisis and wants to spread the word of what could help other families. As she tells the story she shows her resilience to not give up on family and just how deep a sisters love can go! when we interview, another classmate Elizabeth Hannigan asks Cissy a few questions. I want to thank my guest cohosts and my very special guest Cissy Strong for letting us interview her. I know retelling this story brought back alot of heartache, but no matter how bad it hurt she had to tell her truth about Rosenda!
