from Simerjeet Singh Podcast · host Simerjeet Singh

The list below is not exhaustive but will give you some idea of the process that I follow (I'd love to hear from other keynote speakers) 1) Minimize distractions and technology. Great insights happen through deep work and deep work requires concentration. 2) Think afresh. Don't let previous experience dictate your style even if it's the same topic. Allow your creativity to show you a brand new approach. 3) Keep the main thing, the main thing. Don't dilute the main message. Everything should revolve around it or lead up to it. 4) Carry a notebook to record insights while on the move or away from the office. Since your mind is occupied with the subject of the keynote, you will experience Aha moments at weird times! Record these insights before they disappear! 5) At the initial stage, allow your thoughts to flow randomly. Creativity is a messy process. Make the best of it. You can clean up and trim it later. 6) Always keep your audience in mind! Who are they? What are their challenges? How is your presentation going to make life better for them? 7) Enjoy the process! If you're having fun with the process, something beautiful will emerge!
