A snowstorm, severe weather and damaging winds

After a weekend of storms in the southern Plains, the severe pattern has shifted north. Dangerous thunderstorms will rattle the region with wind and hail. The stretch of the middle of the country known for being a place of high tornado activity is on high alert for all forms of severe weather this week. Plus, the first major snowstorm of the season is expected to deliver feet of snow in the highest elevations, while powerful winds associated with the storm could produce blizzard conditions.
