A Song to Sing

December 20, 2020  Preparation for Worship   Time for Gathering   Opening Hymn: “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”  1 Hark! the herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King: peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!" Joyful, all ye nations, rise, join the triumph of the skies; with th'angelic hosts proclaim, "Christ is born in Bethlehem!" Scripture Lesson Luke 1:46-55 Page 780 Sermon A Song to Sing Closing Hymn “The First Noel” 1 The first Noel the angels did say was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay: In fields where they lay keeping their sheep on a cold winter's night that was so deep. Refrain: Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, born is the King of Israel. 2 They looked up and saw a star shining in the east beyond them far: And to the earth it gave great light and so it continued both day and night. [Refrain] 3 And by the light of that same star three wise men came from the country far; To seek for a King was their intent, and to follow the star wherever it went.
