A Son's Legacy: Stories of Love and Faith with Barbara E. Kompik- Dear Dale"

from Christian Readers Community Podcast · host Christian Readers Community

On this episode, I am with Barbara E. Kompik. She tells an incredible story about her son who died at age 31 when his life was just beginning to take shape. He was a man of personal devotion and commitment to his God. He ministered to thousands of people on his own all by himself around the globe. He did this simply by buying cups of coffee for strangers in coffee shops in the city he lived in. He then would ask them to join him and sit and talk about their struggles in life. As their conversation ended, he asked them if he could pray for them and they generally said yes. He would prophesy over them. And he would lead them to Jesus. When he died, there were 400 people lined up in the hospital outside his room to pay their last respects to him. The church where his family had its celebration of life service was filled to the brim and had people sitting on the floor in front of the podium and lined the walls. There were probably more than a thousand people there. He touched lives simply and profoundly. Barbara has written four books detailing her diary during his illness of 6 weeks with pneumonia which turned septic. About the author: Barbara E. Kompik is a mother of three beautiful children. One left this Earth far too soon, and she writes poignantly about her experience with Jesus and her son dying of pneumonia that turned septic. She has written 15 books. They include a collection of eight books in a series of healing from trauma and abuse. She also has four books written about her son, Dale, in a journal form. An inspirational cookbook and a children's book round out her repertoire. Barbara is retired and helps others become published, many for the first time, and out of the goodness of her heart, she assists authors to market and sell their books to an audience that longs to read them. Married for 43 years, she lives with her husband in a 100-year-old house that they have renovated to call it home. They're situated near the coast of Lake Michigan. Barbara is the President and founder of LaShay Nicole Marketing Solutions. Visit her website at: bkbookshoppe.com
