A Special Message for Men: Moving Beyond Fear with Special Guest, Quintin Echols

from Bad Thought Therapy™ · host C. Chérie Hardy

“One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn’t do.”—Henry Ford (1863-1947) Fear is a natural emotion that we were wired with to protect us from harm. For example, we should be afraid of lightning or large, wild animals. However, irrational and unchecked fear can become dangerous and paralyzing. Many men secretly suffer with fear about mundane things like acceptance, success, health… When this fear is not constructively unmanaged, it can inhibit a man from doing and being what he should. It can lead to depression and destructive behaviors. The good news is that fear can be overcome with the right information, as well as supportive people like mentors, good family members, and friends.  In this special episode, husband, father, and officer in the US Airforce, Quintin Echols, shares empowering and healthy ways for men to work through fear. Listen and learn how changing your perception and facing fear is the first step to moving through it.  Do not fear mistakes. You will know failure. Continue to reach out [anyway]. -Benjamin Franklin
