According to Biblical account and prophecy, Jesus' birthday was on September 11th during the Feast of Tabernacles. Why stay in a tent when we have a prefectly good airconditioned building? Why did Jesus leave a perfect heaven to come to earth for us? Jesus' birth was during the feast of tabernacles. Joining into that activity is a reminder of our salvation. John 1:14. Jesus became flesh and "tented"/dwelt among us. Feast of Tabernacles is also known as the Festival of Lights. John 1: 7-9 describes Jesus as the Light of the world. John 1: 11 "His own did not receive Him" as the Jews rejected and continue to reject Him as Messiah. Emmanuel means God with us. It took a prolonged time for our Christ to die. He was beaten. He suffered. You no longer have to provide sacrifices. Jesus died once for all. We are living in a time when our spiritual lives are disconnected from our physical lives. It is dangerous that it costs us so little. The "rigors" of the Christian life are easy compared to the practices of the old testiment Jews. Hebrews 9:23. The copies of things in heaven showed that heaven was also purified by Jesus' death. Satan no longer had access to heaven. Hebrews 10:11-22. One priest entered the Holy of Holies one day a year and no one else every entered. We enter the Holiest in prayer with full access any minute of your life. Let us have these reminders designed by God to help us understand/comprehend Jesus and to draw us close to Him set apart. Our salvation alrady costs us nothing. Why do we want it to cost us less? The building represents heaven. The tent with gravel, heat, and flies represents earth. Hebrews 10:23-25. "Stir up love and good works", "do not forsake the assembling of ourselves together" so much the MORE as you see the Day approaching.
