A Tale Of Two Pressers…

from The Breakdown With Nate Pike · host The Breakdown

The start of this week saw two press conferences from the UCP government that didn’t go very well at all… First we saw the “Affordability” Presser where UCP Minister Nate Glubish effectively admitted that the UCP had dropped the ball on several programs during COVID and then inexplicably couldn’t explain why the Alberta government had opted to create a costly program that delayed affordability payments instead of working with the CRA like BC. But then we saw a Danielle Smith Press Conference that saw the revelation that the UCP apparently had botched the application for children’s medications and was now pushing costs onto AHS as well as her some remarkable journalism that saw her fact checked real time in a way that she didn’t seem at all prepared for. To help make sense of all of this, we’re joined again by politico and strategist Sarah Biggs!
