A tall majestic horse

Today I saw, in my mind's eye, a beautiful and majestic horse. Often when we have a strong entity working with us, it elevates our image e.g.us sitting tall and straight on a majestic horse, driving an expensive sports car etc. In Jesus's day, a victor might walk in to a town on a tall black stallion. As prophesied by the prophet Zechariah over 500 years previously (Zechariah 9:9 - as mentioned yesterday, no bible verse is irrelevant) Jesus walked into Jerusalem on a short unbroken young donkey - a colt. Jesus had not exercised control or force but came in humility. We are to choose Him, not Him force us to follow and obey Him. 2 Peter 2:21 tells us that Jesus is "leaving us an example that you should follow in his steps". He will lead us as our shepherd. "Therefore rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy and slander of every kind. Like new born babes" you are to "crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good". (1 Peter 2:1-3). Be easy on yourself. Jesus is easy on us as we grow from newborn upwards in His ways.
