The picture today of a tapestry needle has reminded me of the calming effect sewing can often have, and what I have witnessed on even the most hyperactive child. I would suggest that meditating on God's Word has a similar therapeutic effect on a crowded, busy and maybe stressed mind. A verse that comes to my mind to focus on today is "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9). It takes practice to meditate but it can start off for just a minute and gradually increase to a longer time which will likely prove to be comfortable and enjoyable. It is so worthwhile trying.
