Min. Louis Farrakhan upon his spiritual path to the Nation of Islam, Haqq was always a person of promise to his Community.  Haqq Islam is a successful record industry executive whose artists have sold over 20 million records worldwide. Haqq began his career by discovering, signing and developing a number of soon-to-become platinum recording artists, including Mya, Sisqo, and Dru Hill, among others. These artists were signed to his production company, University Records. Through joint venture deals with Interscope, Def Jam, Sony and Warner Brothers, Haqq has produced eight Number 1 singles and twenty Top 10 singles.  As a result of his industry successes and his direct dealings with aspiring entertainers, Haqq saw a distinct need in the formal education of young artists.
