A testbed for Eurasian Cohesion

Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan, for the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, or the SCO. This annual summit is significant and China will assume the next SCO presidency after the meeting. President Xi highlighted the 32-year diplomatic relationship between China and Kazakhstan, calling it a "unique permanent comprehensive strategic partnership." This year's summit will shape the future of Eurasian cohesion, celebrate past achievements while looking forward to deeper regional cooperation.
