A third of endometriosis patients told to get pregnant

One-third of endometriosis patients have been advised by their doctors to get pregnant to relieve their symptoms. That's according to a survey of more than 600, carried out as part of a research project by Endometriosis New Zealand and the University of Canterbury. An estimated 120,000 people in New Zealand have the condition, which can cause fertility problems, irregular periods, and pain. Endometriosis New Zealand chief executive Tanya Cooke spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
