A Time to Confront, A Time to Comfort 2 Corinthians 2:5-11 ESV October 4, 2026 Speaker: Pastor Nathanael Next Week: Pastor Nathanael Gods People Confront Sin with Courage Gods People Restore the Repentant with Grace Gods People Forgive Under the Lordship of Christ Forgiveness Prayer Father, thank you for Your promise to forgive me my sins as I forgive those who have sinned against me (Matt. 6:12). Lord Jesus, thank you for dying that I might be forgiven. By a choice of my will, I choose to forgive (name) for (what they did or failed to do). When that happened, I felt (name the painful emotions). I also choose to forgive (name) for the consequences this has had on my life, including (name what was lost/difficulties suffered). I choose to release (name) from my judgement, taking them off my hook and placing them into God's 's loving lo and just hands. In Jesus' Name. Lord, I choose not to hold on to my resentment. I thank You for setting me free from the bondage of my bitterness. I relinquish my right to seek revenge and ask You to heal my damaged emotions. I now ask You to bless (name) who has hurt me, in Jesus' name. Amen
