A Trip to the Liquor Store and Memories of My First Time Drinking
from The Renegade Writer's Mouthy Musings · host The Mouthy Renegade Writer
Happy weekend, Everyone! It’s Friday and I’m in love. With having a good time. As we wait for the arrival of our son coming home from college later tonight, I was thinking about being that age.I didn’t party when I was younger. I had my first drink at 24 or 25 years old. That probably comes along with being raised in church by a pastor father, attending 3 times a week. We were taught that everything was a sin and evil. Damn, I’m glad I outgrew that guilt shit. I took my 21-year-old bonus daughter on her first trip to the liquor store today and we had fun together. Tonight, I’m making shrimp fried rice, The Boy will be bartending, and we’ll eat, drink, and be merry.Today’s podcast talks about how my children are far more responsible than most young people about drinking. I also tell the story of the first time I ever got drunk and the lesson I learned from it. I hope you all enjoy a more light-hearted podcast today.Happy weekend! Cheers to you all, and thank you for lending me your ears! &:^)You Have the Right to Remain Mouthy is a reader-supported publication.
