A Valueless Constitution

from Sloozar · host Mike Ducheine

Republican Senator Lamar Alexander said in regards to the impeachment trial "I worked with other senators to make sure that we have the right to ask for more documents and witnesses, but there is no need for more evidence to prove something that has already been proven... Put differently, GOP Senators acknowledge the president of the United States Donald J. Trump is guilty of what he is accused of but they do not care to hold him accountable. While Republican electorates may rejoice, the country just suffered the biggest affront to the Constitution not in the hands of a foreign government but rather by the very people, the Republican Senators who took an oath to defend that very constitution. The most obvious question any logical individual should now ask: what is the point of the Constitution?
