A Voice in the Dark: The Murder of Amber Tuccaro

In August 2010, 20-year-old Amber Tuccaro flew from Fort McMurray to Edmonton with her young son, Jacob, hoping for a short getaway and a break from the stress of everyday life. Within hours, Amber vanished. What followed became one of the most haunting unsolved cases in Canadian history. Years later, the RCMP released a chilling audio recording captured during a 17-minute phone call Amber made while riding with an unidentified man down dark rural Alberta roads. In the recording, you can hear Amber slowly realizing something is terribly wrong as the driver calmly takes her in the opposite direction of where she wanted to go. And somehow, despite the world hearing the possible killer’s voice… nobody has ever been charged.
