A Voice That Calls Us - Audio
from The University Church · host Julian A. Davies
Matthew uniquely describes Joseph, Mary and Jesus traveling to Egypt and back following the visit of the Magi. We see how Matthew understands the life and work of Jesus through his knowledge of Moses, positioning Jesus as one who embodies all that it means to be the true Israel. The cost of this devotion is high and reminds us of the true cost of discipleship.
