A walk with God

Genesis 5 presents a sobering pattern where eight times we read 'and then he died,' revealing the reality of mortality in our fallen world. Yet this genealogy is interrupted by Enoch, a man who walked faithfully with God for 300 years and was taken up without experiencing death. Enoch's story shows us that while we cannot outbuild mortality through careers, families, or achievements, we can choose to walk intimately with God daily. Walking with God means ongoing movement in our relationship with Him, maintaining proximity through prayer and Scripture, aligning our direction with His purposes, and developing consistent daily rhythms rather than occasional spiritual moments. In a world marked by death's drumbeat, we can choose to be known for our faithful walk with the God who conquered death itself.
