A “WCRF” Edition of RRR # 1,271 Nov. 24, 2024

from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s. This weekend the 38th Annual West Coast Ragtime Festival took place in Rancho Cordova, California and we were once again in attendance to enjoy seeing and hearing old friends and meet new ones. It was a great weekend of ragtime and early jazz and on this week’s edition of the show I’ll play vintage recordings of some of the tunes that were played by the musicians at the festival. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the link above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience. THANKS FOR LISTENING! ENJOY THE SHOW!
