Lots of “weird flips on the usual” this week: we podded from a new venue, thus spawning the new temporary nickname of The Pembury Taverners; Matthew, who we had on before only on Zoom, joined us in person at the pub (as did Laurence and QPR-supporting debutant Ed); and The Albion turned down three bags of mega cash from PL heavyweights. There’s also plenty of chat about the wider window, Caicedo’s awful advice-giving new agent and his mercenary faux-journo buddy, Albion’s second win in a fortnight against The Scousers, the women’s great cup triumph over the ‘other’ Albion, the permanent look of confusion on the face of Jürgen Klopp, loan watch and football fans being Villafied[sic] Stand or fall!
