A white rainbow

Today I saw an image of a white rainbow. They are a rare phenomenon, whereby the light doesn't split into 7 different colours as in our usual rainbows with larger raindrops but instead, with smaller fog droplets, the colours are blended back into pure brilliant light. God is Light. In the first book of the bible, Genesis, chapter 1 verse 3, we read that God said, "Let there be light". What was this light as 13 verses later we read, "And God made two great lights - the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made thestars" (Genesis 1:16)? The light initially mentioned is God's glory. We see this in the final book of the Bible, Revelation, which demonstrates a time to come when mankind is back with God, and we read, "The City does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp" (Revelation 21:23). Jesus was our perfect sacrificial lamb showing us The Way to return to God. "God is Light; in Him there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" (John 8:12). God is Light. Jesus is the light of the world. Can you see yourself catching their light and being in God's image? "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:16). It is difficult to comprehend but we are united in Light.
