We seek externals for validation, when the truth is that we don't need object or anyone's permission to be happy now. This moment is all we need. Surely you know people who have little and are happy. Conversely, you know people who are well off, but miserable. It isn't to say that wealth creates happy or unhappiness, but rather that it doesn't make a difference. A happy person will also find a reason to be happy and an angry person will always find a way to be angry. We don't have to wait to feel any emotion.
