A life of devotion. A life of devotion. Hallelujah. When we say devotion, what do we mean?

Devotion is defined as love, loyalty or enthusiasm for a person or an activity. So love, showing love, showing enthusiasm, showing loyalty for a person or towards an activity is what we tend as devotion. Hallelujah. So what it means is that there are many things that we are devoted in one way or the other.

And there are many things also that we need to be devoted in one way or the other. The question is, are we devoted to the right things? Or are we devoted to the wrong things? Hallelujah.

And what are those right things that we ought to be devoted to? That perhaps we are not devoted to? And what are those wrong things that we are devoted to? That we are not supposed to be devoted to?

Hallelujah. Amen. So what are we showing love and enthusiasm about? And loyalty to?

What is our heart into? Hallelujah. What is our mind into? What is our hope into?

What do we cherish most? And therefore we put our all in it. Hallelujah. And we are so devoted to it.

Amen? Perhaps for some it is a wazoo or a wazoo. Hallelujah. First I was here, a wazoo.

I'm sure the old and then people understand. So the boyfriend or the girlfriend, Hallelujah. Some people say they love it. Hallelujah.

Amen. We just watch our devotee to Hallelujah. So when you close from church, you lead here to a house. Say bye bye.

This is my mission to go to the house. I'll go down the street. I'll go to the house. I'll go to the house.

I'll go to the house. Hallelujah. Or what is it? Touch our devotee to Hallelujah.

Not to cherish and you love so much. Amen. But as Christians, there is something we need to be put into. As other nine people, we need to be put into Hallelujah.

For us to attend excellence. And for us to be lifted up. We must be excellent in something. Hallelujah.

And we must be lifted up in what we are doing from one level to the other. And one of the things that will take us to that excellent please is devotion. Hallelujah. For example, if you are in school and you are supposed to learn and pass your exams.

I tell you, if you are not devoted to your books, if you don't program yourself and love what you are doing. Because if you don't love to read and learn, there's no way you can learn. Hallelujah. It's just you need to put in effort.

It's hard work. It's not automatic. Hallelujah. You must put in effort to learn, to pass your exams.

So if you are not devoted to your books, to what you need to do, you love it, exams will come and you're going to look on the board. And I'm afraid it will be pleasant in the corner. You need to be able to have to work out in it. Hallelujah.

Amen. So devotion is important. Like I'm saying, devotion is all over. Amen.

When you have finished doing the TLC, attend the loving work with your Wazi or Wozu. It doesn't end there. Hallelujah. You are not only showing the devotion into coming to the altar to see I do.

You must also show the devotion in the marriage. Hallelujah. Because it's hard work. Amen.

You show the devotion in whatever you do. Whatever you put your hands to do, you can't go to school and say, oh, first, semester, I'm going to get my father. No way. Or you start something and you become complicit to kind of finish.

Hallelujah. Devotion is very important. Like I said, showing love. You are loving what you are doing.

You have been loyal to the team. And there's enthusiasm. There's enthusiasm. You can't keep it.

Hallelujah. There's some I want to cut you to make sure that that is done. Hallelujah. Amen.

God first showed us this devotion. Hallelujah. He don't resist him by both sides. That for God so loved the world, he loved us.

That he gave his only begotten son. Hallelujah. That's his devotion. He so devoted to us that he wants to bring us back to the place where we were from.

Hallelujah. Amen. To bring us back to our status. And for that reason, Bible says that he sent his only begotten son, his only begotten son, to come to die to save us.

Hallelujah. So you and I would not come to church like we are here this evening. And it will be in vain. Hallelujah.

Amen. There is something that we have ended here. Hallelujah. There is life that we are receiving here.

Hallelujah. And this life is what is going to lift us up. And this life is not lifting. It's what is going to lead us into excellence if we are devoted.

Hallelujah. Amen. There are people that when they are lifted, they want to come down. But when you are lifted to a point, you must make the effort to stay there and to go for it.

Hallelujah. And that is the only way you can attain excellence. You cannot go one step forward, two step backwards. And then it will reverse now, OK?

Hallelujah. Two nine back, two nine back, two nine back. But we will say, before we finish, we are back. Hallelujah.

So God first showed his devotion to us by sending his son to die for us. Hallelujah. So we might be taking from darkness into what? Into his mouthless light.

Hallelujah. And God requires and commands our devotion. Hallelujah. He also after showing it, he requires that we show devotion.

He requires it from us. Hallelujah. So if we read Exodus 20, verse 3, this is that thou shall not, thou shall have no other God before me. This is no other God.

You are supposed to love me, your God, Elul. Be loyal to me, Elul. All your enthusiasm, all the things you should be excited about should be about me. Hallelujah.

Amen. Are we here tonight? Hallelujah. Amen.

Let's also read something from the Toronto, chapter 5, verse 6, says that I am the Lord, thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. And services that thou shall have no other God before me. Hallelujah. Says we should have no other God before him.

He's the one who took us out of darkness into his mouthless light. Amen. We should have no other God before him. Hallelujah.

First Chronicles 28, 9. And thou, Solomon, my son, no doubt, the God of thy father. And serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind for the Lord's sake at all hearts and an astounded all the imaginations of the thoughts. If thou seek him, he will be found of thee.

But if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off forever. Hallelujah. I'm trying to establish the fact that if God showed us his devotion, but he also demands, like I said, that we be devoted to him. Hallelujah.

Amen. You can write how much you, 6, 24. Look 16, 13. Let's read Galatians 2, 20.

Says that I'm crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live. Yet not I, by Christ, liveeth in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and give himself for me.

Hallelujah. So what it means is that you are not living on your own. Hallelujah. And by the one whom you are living, you are expected to show up in the ocean, to show layout, to show love, to be enthusiastic about that place.

John 13, 34 to 35, you can also write down look 10, 25 to 28. Let's read the look. Looked up the 10. Just and behold, a setting lawyer stood up and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

He said on the stream, what is written in the law? How will it dance now? And he answered and said, thou shall love the Lord that God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind, and thy neighbor ask thyself. And he said unto him, thou has unsaid right.

This do, and thou shall live. Hallelujah, amen. So we are supposed to love God. And if we are supposed to love God, what it means is that there are things God expects us to do to show that we love him.

We are enthusiastic about him, and we are loyal to him. Hallelujah, amen. So what does it require? Devotion.

What does it require? Hallelujah. I was talking about some. In Luke chapter 9, verse 62, and Jesus said unto him, no man have input his hand to the plow, and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God.

He said that if you put your hand into the thing, and you look back, like I said, if you move you to a certain level, and you go down, just that you are not fit. Hallelujah. One of the requirements for devotion is consistency. You must be consistent in what you do.

Hallelujah. You must be consistent in your devotion. Like I said, if it is learning, you can't decide that I want to learn at this time, and I want to stop, and not learn for this time. And you cannot attain excellence if there's no continuity.

Hallelujah. Amen. There must be consistency in what you do. You cannot start attain and stop.

Hallelujah. There must be consistency. There must be continuity. Hallelujah.

And like I said, as you continue, you look up. Hallelujah. It's forward, upwards. So you are moving forward, but your forward movement is not going this way into the valley, but it's climbing.

Hallelujah. It's climbing up. When you are even tired and your legs are hurting, you are still going, because you know where you are going. Hallelujah.

Somebody posted something on Facebook, and the person who had gone to actually a mountain. I was watching a documentary of TV. And as I hear, to climb that place, it's not just me, I thought it was on plane, be somewhere that I'd been going. So even to get there, it's no joke.

People, there are some people who go and they return, halfway and they come back. Because to climb that place, it's not easy. And when you are climbing and you are going with people, everybody's tired. So when you are going to go, it's not easy.

Hallelujah. Consistency will take you to the top. Hallelujah. So devotion requires consistency.

It also requires concentration. Hallelujah. As you are being consistent, you also need to concentrate and focus. You must keep focus.

Hallelujah. Have undivided attention. Even. You must keep focus.

So consistency, concentration, undivided attention, and focus. Hallelujah. Four key things that you require in devotion. Hallelujah.

Let's go to Proverbs. Proverbs chapter six, from verse six. God teaches us something about devotion using that tiny creature or animal called what? The ant.

Hallelujah. The ant is a very devoted creature. It is consistent. Once it decides that this is what it's going to do.

When it's time, sometimes in the house, I see this red ants on the wall. Seasonally, they go pick some things, and then you can go and take this three and spread them. Before you realize they are found another way to where they are going. If you kill a thousand, before you realize you have seen another thousand, how they manage to know that those who have gone to work are dead.

But their work must continue. What they want to achieve can only be achieved through continuity and through perseverance. I don't know. But God in the Swiss though created them that way.

And God in the Swiss don't want to use this to teach us something. So in Proverbs chapter six, from verse six, he says, go to the ant. That was like it. Consider a waste and a waste.

Which have no guide? It has no guide over Sia or Rula. Hallelujah. How many of us did somebody tell?

Or how many of us here who, when we are going to fall in love? I want to fall in love. Can I bring the pure peach to this leaf? We don't do that.

We'll go and finish. Before we come. Hallelujah. He says this one.

It has no guide over. No, over Sia and Rula provided him mix in the summer and gathered her food in the harvest. How long would thou sleep post like that? When would thou arise out of thy sleep?

This yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little food in the hands of sleep. So shall thy poverty come as one that traveled it. And thy want as an amraba. Let this be far from us.

Hallelujah. Let this be far from us. Thou which shall not be devoted towards God has called us to do. Or God has laid on us to.

It could be your business. Look, if you are doing your business, you are doing a business and you are not devoted to doing that business. You're seeing that that business grows. And when you started in the first profit, what you call rich, you go in pretty unpacking or somewhere because ababa, now from come, you collapse that company.

Hallelujah. You spend all the investment, their profits, and everything you come back to square one. You have to be what? Disciplined.

Hallelujah. To be able to get there. Amen. So devotion is not only also about us as individuals.

It's not only an individualistic thing. That I need to be, yes, first I need to be devoted. Hallelujah. So for a group to be devoted, for a church to be devoted, the individuals must be devoted.

Hallelujah. So if the individuals are devoted and we all bring our devotion together, then that devotion moves us forward upwards into excellence. Amen. So believe it, this team is powerful.

It's powerful. Excellence is what all of us must attain. It's not bia ra bia ra. Like papa said last night, if you are in the class, nah, say, we attend.

Now, we will also attend a worry. We will do too, we will not do too a worry. We will not worry because it will be a defacial bia ra. We will be a loop at one area.

No, no, no, no, no, no. We will do this second one second area. Hallelujah. Amen.

Excellence is there. Hallelujah. And you see, I'm saying that excellence requires hard work. It's not ordinary, amen?

In a prison, how about talk about this last night? In my wake, please. We have the KPI's. Like key performance indicators that they mark you.

So you have the standard. You have the minimum. And you have the stretch. So if you do what is required, that's what is required.

What is required? Say, a bia, every morning, God is marking you. Every morning, you have to wake up. So open fire, one hour.

That's the radio bible, one hour. That's the go and evangelism. That's to do this. All those are like KPI's.

You have to be in church on time. You have to follow up. All the other night, please. I was like, it's there.

So power comes and uses it to mark. But I am marking my identity. So if I want to do all, that's when you are done well. That's good or good.

So to get very good means that, why extra? It's not that easy thing. Hallelujah. It's no wonder that some of us are not excelling.

Because for you to excel, for you to be placed in that place of excellence means that humans do extra. Excellence is not 50 over 100. Hallelujah. Excellence is 1995, everyone on air call.

Hallelujah, that is excellence. So you can't be doing the 60s and be comfortable. You are good, but God demands excellence. Hallelujah, amen.

Excellence will take you to the top because when they are looking for the big people, when they are looking for the people to give their prices or switch the, they don't give it to the good people or the fair people. They give it to the excellent ones. Hallelujah. So in the human chapter four of the six, we read the scripture several, let's read it.

The amount for sex. He says, I saw both with the wall and all the wall was joined together onto the half-derelve. For the people had a mind to wake. Hallelujah.

So they were devoted, if you read the scriptures, they were devoted towards their mind to do. And they brought their devotion together. They decided to do something, they loved it, they were so enthusiastic about it. And they wanted to see that in succeed.

And Bible says that they came together to do it. And because they were one in mind, in heart and spirit, they were able to achieve to the half of it. And they continued. Hallelujah.

Amen. In Genesis we can see another example. In Genesis 11, 6. Say that in the Lord said, behold, there are people, it's one.

And they have all one language. And this they begin to do. And now nothing will be strayed from them, which they have imagined to do. Hallelujah.

Amen. What have we imagined to do as a church this year? Papa has at least told us some of the things. And I believe that we have seen this.

How are we going to achieve it? How are we going to achieve all the things that we want to achieve? We have achieved certain things concerning changing of our instruments. We are aiming at having the speakers, the Irish speakers.

And that is one of the only things we want to do. There are many other things we want to do. Hallelujah. And Papa always tells us that things that we see done in other places are done by people just like us.

How do they do it? Because they are devoted to doing it. And they have put their mind and they have to do it. So they put their all into it and they able to achieve it.

I'm sure if somebody had some doubt in common sense when we said we're doing this project. I'm sure some people who are in India, because Canada and Africa are both from the beginning of the year. Even for the Irish speakers, it's not small. Hallelujah.

But beloved, we are well and more and more capable to do it. Hallelujah. We are more far more than able. We will do and do more.

Hallelujah. And just like people who used to pass around and say, let's go to the church, let's go to the church and see. Do you wait and see? They will now seek great things.

Hallelujah. Because it is not by my kingdom, by power. But it is by the spirit of God. It is God who is enabling us to do that because of our devotion to Him.

Hallelujah. If we will be devoted to God, there is nothing that God cannot do for us. We will read some scriptures to testify that Hallelujah. We have had the same sort of kill devotion, selfishness, hallelujah, a kill devotion, min kwam, pessa min kwminga, hallelujah.

You are thinking about yourself alone and not others. It will kill your devotion towards the thing. Like we have been told this year, it's about obey instructions. It's not about, now we have to come and come and come and come.

We need to come and come and come and come and come and come. I say, 11, 11, 11, 11, every time, every time, I'm in an argument, hallelujah. But this place is not parliament. This is God's house.

This place is not for democracy. Hallelujah. God speaks and we follow. Hallelujah.

Amen. Let's say, oofy-fi, if we're in your own name, correct. So in 50, if we're in your heart, hallelujah. So what you see, you need to believe in something before you follow and before you do.

If I'm leading you some way, and oofy-fi min kwam, not min kwam, not so one person in my mind, they're great. Hallelujah. So I'm not saying, I'm not going to do my cornea. And the baby I'm going to fight the enemy, I say, oofy-fi, because I'm in my heart.

And I'm going to say, my heart. In two, seven, four, and I'm going to go. The baby I'm going to see a family, I'm going to say, oofy-fi, oofy-fi, oofy-fi, oofy-fi, oofy-fi, hallelujah. But I want you to take you there.

So what you need to do is follow. Hallelujah. Amen. Follow.

So listen to instructions. Amen. So one of the things also is worldly things. The worldly things will take our devotion.

Are we? We take our devotion. Are we from God? In what we do daily, some of the things that can take, distract our devotion is travel.

So for instance, maybe I know a lot of people who were stand Christians here. They traveled to the US, the Americas, and all the land, the UKs, and China and things, and it's gone. Why? Just travel.

Environment change. If you don't take time, take your devotion. Are we? You need to be careful.

Hallelujah. Job change. Maybe they've changed your job. So maybe you've traveled now.

What you say, Ghana. It is very good. I know someone's working during that thing. Those people have been unh hid in but messy in other words.

And the other people have been outside and outside and in etc. So I know, if you would like to develop the new subject, relationships to yourself beNext. Everyone has been in amatch. So see?

People do this, they go, and because of their work, they have to do. They cannot have time for God. Their person is able to wake up here, do his quiet time, pray, study, meditate, read away. But now, look, he doesn't even have time to sleep.

Oh, sorry. He said, Papa can't send you. Sometimes, we'll be there in the Christ, we'll be there in the Christ. We'll be there in the Christ.

We'll be there in the Christ. And yeah, our best practice is our ability. We'll be there in the Christ. Oh, God, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

So many things, let's look into our lives. What has changed our devotion? The way we loved God, the way we were so serious about the things of God. They had so many things.

It could be marriage, it could be setting lifestyle changes, challenges, COVID came. We all decided that we'll go on soon. Some of us were so, look, that time I went to buy, that's when I bought this table tin, and it's here. Because now, when you see my wife and I, I mean, she, she, sometimes I have to also eat prayer.

So, I think I got table, you know, empty and table. Hallelujah. So I can, some people didn't listen. Some people to COVID know, I'm a fan.

Yeah, yeah. Papa said it's one of the one of the meetings. What's the way? What's the way?

What's the way? I mean, it's one of the meetings. I'll be in the mic to start to say, Chancy, on the room, fine, well, and I'll say, baby. That's what I said about on the room.

Hallelujah. Oh, we should like you to listen to your life from another person. Yes. Yes.

Hallelujah. So there are many things that are constructed. But we shouldn't be distracted. Hallelujah.

Amen. If we keep focused, that is when excellence will come. Hallelujah. That's when we'll be lifted up.

You see, excellence brings promotion. If you are excellent at doing something, you are promoted. You cannot, an excellent, no excellent person stays in the same. I don't see, I've not seen any excellent student be repeated.

In class, I repeat too, excellent student, nearly too. Yes, so who do you want to do this? So that's not class two. I don't know class three.

I know class four. Hallelujah. Udu class four, I saw the jump walk of classes. Amen.

Because you are excellent. And that excellent is not coming naturally. I'm not very sharp, but look, no person who is sharp, naturally, who does not read, who know? doesn't come automatically, you must read.

Even if you read today and it sticks in your head, unlike somebody who have to read like 10 times, is you must still read. If you like, you know, don't read. Unless somebody who finds it difficult to read, let the person read and the two of you should go and sit in the other. What are you going to write?

Because only three, hallelujah, because you have not read. Even, so benefits of devotion. If you are devoted to God, you are a God's priority list. If you are devoted to God, you are a God's priority list.

Some 25, that's 14. He says that the secret of the Lord is with them that fear him, and he will show them his confidence. So you revert God, you are devoted to God, you are always in his presence, you are doing what he wants you to do. He says that his secrets are with those who are devoted to him.

Hallelujah. So you are a God's priority list. If you are a God's priority list, what will you ask God that will not do for you? Hallelujah.

Because what he wants you to do for him, you are also doing. So that's why we are taught that sometimes you need to go by his weight, by the things you have done. Because he says that if you do this, I do that for you. If you are devoted to me, you are my priority list.

My secrets are with you. If you obey me, I do this for you. Hallelujah. So even as you have obeyed, he needs to do.

Hallelujah. He will do. Only remind him. He will not do it by your timetable.

He will still do it by his timetable. Hallelujah. But that one, that waiting time is also devotion. Hallelujah.

Are you ready to wait for him to do? Or at the point you decide to reach your way? Hallelujah. Amen.

As I won, 19 and 20. If he be willing and obedient, he shall eat the good of the land. But if he refused and rebelled, he shall be devoured with the sword. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken with.

Hallelujah. It says that you eat the good of the land. Amen. So just imagine that good of the land that you are desiring of God.

This is how you eat it. Hallelujah. And you can read also, Determinate 28 from verse 1 to 14. I want us to read verse 10 and verse 14.

Verse 10 and verse 14. Determinate 28, verse 10. Just an hour people of the air shall see that thou are called by the name of the Lord. And thou shall be afraid of.

He says, after you have obeyed me, he talks about the blessings. He says, you bless us. You bless you. You are going out.

You are coming. You bless your livestock. You bless. He says that so that people of the air would know.

He said, oh, yeah, media. Hallelujah. So people who know that you are devoted to be. So many.

Now assume that was so many. Hallelujah. So when you ask, how do you do it? Say, it is the doing of the Lord.

Amen. And for Jesus, and thou shall not go aside from any of the ways which I command Jesus to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to save them. It says, no. You should stay on the path.

Hallelujah. Amen. So I said that devotion will bring to excellence. I want to share with you two things that will get you to be excellent when you are devoted.

Execution. Execution. So execution takes away the procrastination. You must execute.

You must do that thing. Hallelujah. Also, sorry. I'm not a boy.

I know it. No matter. Hallelujah. Amen.

Consistency. Execution. You must execute what you have to do. Doing.

Doing. That is doing what you are supposed to do. It's execution. Doing.

Talk. Nado. It's not talk. Nado.

Talk. Nado. Because Akh. Hallelujah.

So you must be a talk. Nado. Amen. And then you must be agile.

Agility. Agility is very important in devotion. And agility is looking at smart and quick solutions or doing things easily and quickly. Doing things smartly and quickly.

The environment in which we are, if you are not agile, you cannot be devoted. You must always find a way to continue doing that thing. It is a perspective of all the things around you. Find an easy and quick way of still doing that thing.

So it will not allow anything to pull you down or to distract you. This is a way that I pass to my house. Obedia here. I'm quite not sure.

I don't think that's the same thing with you. You must find another route to go home. You don't draw your house in the air and say, my papa. You must always look for smart.

You see, if a hammer has come and sleep is sweet, you must find a new way to wake up in prison. That has been agile. You must change your way. So it's like being like a hammer.

You change when the situation changes. But not changing, not to be focused. You are changing to still stay focused because the patterns of this world are not the same. Things are changing every day, day in and day out.

The world system is changing. Technology is coming. Phones and things. Maybe you have many times or your phone was not there.

The phone is what is taking your time. You must change. Find a strategy. Be agile.

Otherwise, you cannot be excellent. Hallelujah. Business systems are changing. See the entire table.

Adhena is safe. Maybe you must change your package. That's agility. Change your advantage.

It doesn't mean stop going to advantage because you are going to see a gun. Or there is a dog that is backing somewhere. Or there is something. Anything that has been a hindrance.

You must always try to go above it. That's what I mean by being agile. You continue to pursue and focus on that thing. But doing it in new ways.

Hallelujah. Those times I used to pretend I remember in souping. I used to pretend I remember in souping. I used to hold my phone with God.

So it's limited. I used to pretend I was scared. I was scared. I was scared.

I was scared. I was scared. I was scared. But we cannot say that we will stay in that situation.

When technology has come and they are scodless. When it can go to that place and still be preaching. So the preaching is continuing. We need to even explore further technology.

Hallelujah. Where purpose sounds to be free. We have tried it before. I know sometimes the product is like this.

You know, it's pretty bad. It's bad. But maybe I shouldn't reveal it now. We are planning to continue doing it well.

Hallelujah. So he can be free with his hands and he can minister and do all the acrobatics that he wants to do. Hallelujah. Amen.

We must progress. But not for the world in this progression to the real ones. Our focus must still be there. Hallelujah.

But we do eat better. Hallelujah. So that must be achieved. Amen.

And Daniel is an example. He went through a lot. He was not supposed to create the rules. It's but Daniel persisted.

And it paid off. Amen. Everyone I was thinking about, tell me this thing that's came to mind. Papa has given us also a lot of examples.

And I don't know why this example came. He said, when he was working somewhere, he had to do good to the law and the aboldness and the thing. And he was going to be praying. He had to find a way.

That's agility. Hallelujah. You must find a way in the midst of all difficulties. To keep focus.

And to keep going. If he had given up, I'm sure you and I would not be here. Hallelujah. Amen.

Now, we want to look at the last thing. We cannot look at devotion without talking about our daily devotion. Hallelujah. Amen.

Which is the itching or the strength that we derive every day as we come from our base before we go out of our hope. Our daily devotion. Which we call, quiet time. Hallelujah.

The Christian quiet time is a time that we spend with God. And sharing with God. Hallelujah. And in this, it's a time that we set aside each day for prayer.

For meditation and for the steady of the word. So we read the word, we meditate on the word and we pray. Hallelujah. Amen.

And in this, we derive strength from God. In our quiet time in the morning, we derive strength from God. We derive wisdom. We derive guidance.

So in the morning, when you go to God, you read the word, which is giving you enlightenment, wisdom. You pray. You meditate on the word. It's giving you guidance.

You realize that when you do that in the morning before you go out. Well, Ophili, I said, it will be our call. Jim, I will call my true. Amen.

It's an ability to deny it. Go away. Go away. Go away.
