In the dead of night as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the Supernatural Hour Podcast. Hey, glad to be here.
I'm your host Raven. And I'm your co-host, Shad. And that is all. We know that Doc might not be here tonight.
Being a doctor, his schedule can get really kind of wacky. And we're supposed to be here tonight, but sometimes life just throws you a curve, and there's nothing you can do about it. Yeah, and it may need a doctor. We hope you're feeling better.
Anyway, so it is the Chad and Raven show tonight. This will be exciting. We hope so. Okay, so we are going to start up with the business that's brought to you by Castle Photo Art.
He's actually done our photos, and he really does a great job. He's my brother, as you all know, or if you may not know. And he either puts in 125% or he doesn't do it at all. So if you hit him up for some photos, he'll have a really nice job.
A really good job. Yeah, he does a really nice job and has got some great equipment. So for the business, we've had some interesting things. We're working on our next investigation, our next public investigation that we're planning for May.
We've got to get a fire marshal approval before we're able to announce the investigation that we're working on for May if not, we'll come up with something else. So to my knowledge, this is the first time we've had to get fire marshal approval. Well, they other places are more working as an occupancy, and this is a little less occupant friendly at this point. It's going to be a neat venue.
So looking for that in hopefully we'll be able to do that in May. Awesome. So as far as residential, we've actually had two since we've podcasted last. And they've been fun.
Yeah. So the first one, I don't even know it was a residential. There's a group of anthropology students from UVU, Utah Valley University. And they wanted to do a study on ghost interests.
Their project was to pick a group and do a study on it. And so actually one of the gals came to the teat neat with us. And then her whole group wasn't able to come. So then we arranged to go to Rock Canyon.
And Rock Canyon is in Provo is a really, really neat venue. It's lots of activity there. There's Native American spirits. There's been people that do some serious, serious rock climbing there.
Many have fallen to their death. People go up and commit suicide up there oftentimes. It's just a place with a lot of history. Yes.
And if you've listened to our podcast and when we've talked about it before, Ted Bundy even tried to snag somebody there. He failed. But it was a Ted Bundy in there too. Yeah.
Well, in last summer, we actually held our supernatural hour insiders, patron peoples. That's where we had our summer party there. So every summer we get together and have an investigation and a picnic and a party. And that's a lot of fun.
So if you're interested in doing that with us this next year, this next summer, go out to patron and become a supernatural hour insider. And in fact, we had one more supernatural hour insider. We're glad to have you. I'm not going to give the name yet because she hasn't provided what name she wants to be identified with.
But we're grateful to have all of our insiders, but we've got a new insider and we're really excited about that. So you know who you are. Welcome. So anyway, back to the investigation.
So we had a group of about seven of us, eight of us. Uh-huh. And we went to, we took them to the areas where I had had the most activity. Where you have activity on a ghost tent, it's going to vary a little bit depending on the day and depending on you.
What's the fishing analogy? Yep. It's like fishing. I mean...
Sometimes you're pulling fish out right and left and sometimes you're ground and worms. So anyway, so we went to one spot and remember this because it'll come in relevant when we tell you about the residential. You'd rounded some worms? No.
Well, I drowned a lot of worms. At the first spot. But we got some interaction with the ghost meter pro. And I like that when a lot, when I'm doing a public investigation because it's got the needle on it that people can see.
And the red light's the flash. It's pretty visual. It's very visual. Pretty self-explanatory.
If you've never been ghost hunting before and you're with me, you can follow along with conversation really well. And it's not something that people could say, oh, you're manipulating like people sometimes say with housing rods. Right. So, and then I like to shine my black light on it so that you can see the dial even better in the dark.
Anyway, we were getting some interaction, but I said, you know, show me one click for yes, we click once. I'm like, no, show me two for no, and it would click once. And I said, okay, that's one. You know, show me two for no.
We do it once. And I did this at the Teenage too. And so I remember thinking, it's my battery going dead. Do I need to change the batteries on this?
Yeah, because they think they're a little inconclusive. Yeah. They weren't. They didn't seem to be definitive.
Right. So it's like, oh, there's something here because it's interacting with the with the Ghost Meter Pro. But I just I and I told them I said I just don't feel confident in asking any questions because it's not showing me that it can do no. And you were getting very, very little feedback on the K2 meter.
Right. Not I mean, yeah. It almost didn't even live. No.
And then I've got those new little they call them cat balls. And I had those out nothing. And they flash when they touch them and they flash red and blue. And they're called cat balls because I think initially they're supposed to be like twice or cats or like cats twice anyway.
So we went up to there's a little alcove. It's you could call it a cave, but it's a very, very shallow cave. Maybe a grotto. Yeah.
Alco or cave is pushing up where you can see the back of it from the entrance. Yeah. And when we were there last summer, it smelled like P. It didn't smell like P this time.
So that was that was a plus. So we walk into that little alcove and like all of us get in there. We're all squished in there and it was heavy. And you could say, oh, well, yeah, it's heavy.
You got eight people squished in this little, you know, four by eight spot. No, maybe it's a little deeper than that. But not much. But I mean, a little wider and yeah, but it's deeper.
But not very big. But I mean, there was barely room for six or seven of us in there. And I walked in there first and it was heavy when it was just me in there. Anyway, we all get in there.
That's when we got the K2 meter to go a little bit better. We used the Dowsing Rods more. The Ghost Meter Pro was not giving us, you know, again. It would seem like reliable answers.
Yeah. I got to change my battery in this. This isn't any good. So we used the Dowsing Rods and we determined that there were three type threes in there.
So three demonic entities. They were having a meeting and they were not happy that we were there. And we harassed him a little bit. And one of the gals that was there felt, I could feel it was over my right shoulder and there was a gal sitting just in front of me.
And she said that she could feel something really heavy kind of pushing her, just in that same area. You know, she's like, it's over my left shoulder. I'm like, yep. And so we had Charles point the Dowsing Rods and sure enough he pointed right, you know, in the space that was between us.
And for those of you who are new, Charles is Raven's spirit guide. And she uses the Dowsing Rods with Charles to get information. And I use those last. I would rather, because I could go in and just find out everything in five minutes, we'll use that at the very end of our investigation to confirm things.
So then, you know, we harassed them a little bit. We were getting a few answers through the Dowsing Rods up there. Then, you know, time was getting a little late and we went. Okay, I got a break in though.
I'm going to share my story. This is a good story. Okay. So there is this little alcove in Rock Canyon.
There's a trail called the Monville Shoreline Trail. And it's a paved trail. It's very nice. And this little alcove is just right there.
And you're in the canyon and you go another 100 yards over and it opens up. And you can see the whole valley. But people will run and walk this trail because it's a really nice trail. It's well paved and maintained and everything.
And while Raven and everyone else was in the alcove, I was sitting outside because there wasn't much room. And I was just sitting quietly on a rock and I could hear a jogger come. You hear the footsteps from down the trail. And I took a flashlight that I had, pretty powerful flashlight.
And I flashed it on the trail down in front three or four times just to kind of let him know that I was there. And he came by and I said hi. And apparently he didn't see the flashlight. And it was dark.
He came along and he just jumped and you heard him. Yeah. He scared the absolute bajabra. He had his, you know, I think he had his AirPods in and was listening to music or something and just just absolutely scared him.
So there will be a follow up to the story in a little bit after Raven talks about where we go because there's a follow up in a little bit. Yeah. So we went down to the creek bed because and it's an empty creek bed at this point. I don't maybe there's some overflow there but every time I've gone it's been empty.
No, they've actually got it piped underneath where that water goes in. It's collected by the city and everything. And unless it's really, really in runoff, there's almost never water in that dry creek bed. But there have been stories of a little girl spirit that people have.
Run into there. And so we went under the bridge and we were sitting there under the bridge and we had all of our little things on the, there's a big rock there. We have all of our stuff on the rock and the little girl actually came and talked to us and she she didn't talk very much. But boy, she lit those lights up.
She loved my flashlight, which I haven't gotten anyone to light up in a long time. And on my flashlight, oh yeah. You're going to talk about it. So these are the mag lights and it's one of the very first ghost hunting tools I used and you get the mag light with the mini ones.
I'm sure you can do it with the big ones. Do it. We use the mini just because they're easier to haul around and you turn them to where they're just barely not on. And you turn up so you turn on and then you kind of twist it back.
And I have got one with a green lens in it and one with a red lens in it so that if I do get some intelligent conversation through them, you know, you can say, Hey, turn the green light on now, turn the red light on now, turn them both off. And the idea is if the spirit, you know, does what you've asked it, then you go, Oh, you know, that's an intelligent spirit because they're not just coming on randomly. And I don't know what's wrong with this red flashlight, but hardly anybody, hardly any spirits ever turn on. It's like it's a little sticky or there's something.
Yeah. But she was just it was coming on all the time. And she would light up the K two meter and she would turn the bus meter pro on. And we were asking questions through the downs and rods and two of the people that came had been ghost hunting before and they had brought their own dowsing rods and they were kind of doing their own little investigation to them.
And it was fun. You know, we got a lot of interaction on that, not a lot of questions answered because no one wanted to answer questions to the K two. And the little girl was, I think, more interested in playing with the toys than answering the questions. But she didn't turn on the little cat balls.
Right. And so I was starting to think that they were broken or just too stiff to be used. Yeah. And that was interesting.
So a couple of things. When we talk a little bit about the flashlights with the flashlights, Klaus, when we were at the off-Broadway theater, he had a phenomenal flashlight session for about 30 minutes where he said things were just, you know, he asked questions and you were getting yes, no answers. And they would follow up and the answers would be the same for the same kinds of questions. And he had a phenomenal one.
I've seen some some flashlight sessions that are just awesome that I've been involved in and other times they seem random and and no rhyme or reason to them. So those can be very, very spotty on how they work. But when when they are on, you know, they can be very, very telling. Yeah.
When when Wisps very first started, one of the first places we investigated was a house just up to my parents house. That's in Payson. And they had a spirit in their home named Annie who was very, very active. And we had a flashlight session with her for probably an hour.
And it was phenomenal. So yeah, anyway, so that was that was that investigation, not really a residential, but not a public convention. It was kind of a kind of a hybrid. So following up on my my trail story.
So I'm sitting under the bridge with, you know, watching the the K2 meters and the things with everyone else. And I can hear someone coming and running down the trail. And so I take my flashlight and I start flashing it a whole bunch of times to get his attention. And he says, thank you.
He's probably thinking, how many crazy people hiding in the dark and where twice of them? But yeah, so we didn't scare the bajibras out of him twice at the same night. Anywho, so the next one we did was just last night, right? It was amazing.
It was probably one of the darker, most active residents I've done in long time. And Denise, who was with us, looked at me at one point, she says, this is the darkest investigation I've done, it's the darkest one that I know that we have done in quite some time. Yeah, the Twill investigation, I think, was darker in the house where we had that rock. You know, we have had darker, but this was this was an interesting investigation.
So we'll just jump straight to what was there and then we'll tell you a little bit about it. So the people complained about shadow people, they complained about just bad feelings. I'm trying to think if there's anything else. A big leak.
Oh yeah, so when we get there, we walk in and they're like, sorry, we've got a leak in the basement, we've got water dripping through the fire detector, which, you know, that's not supposed to happen. I mean, you know, water does overcome fire, but it's not supposed to happen that way. And so, you know, we're like, do you need us to come back? No, no, you're fine.
So we found four types of use there, four demonic entities. They had come through a portal that was opened inadvertently. And at, over the course of the night, every single one of us got attacked. The homeowner's girlfriend complained of feeling nauseous.
I first walked into the bedroom and just had this overwhelming lightheadedness. At one point, we walked into like their billiard room, they had like a game room. And there was a type three that was, you know, I said, is it touching the back of my neck and the answer was yes. And then like two seconds later, it's dry-humping me and I'm like, nope.
I don't mind it, you know, trying to squeeze my neck or pull into my arm, but when we start doing that, that's violating my personal space. So, I was just, um, Benny's center mom got pushed. I got pushed. I had something to squeeze my neck.
Everybody, everybody had something happen. And oh, but I put my Ghost Meter Pro in the bed and the spirits that were talking to us, I said, show me one for yes. Yes, show me two for no. Two for no boom boom boom.
And it was acting as we expected to act where it hadn't been really in the last two investigations, you know, where you had the question of whether it was needed a new battery or something. You hadn't changed the battery, right? No, no. I had in fact, I remember pulling it out thinking, oh crap, I forgot to change the battery in this, but it worked flawlessly flawlessly.
Also, one of my cat balls turned on, which had never happened before an investigation. And you've only had them for a month or so. I've only had them for like the last three, three, three residentialism between you. Yeah, but we were beginning to wonder if they would work and she'd never had one turn on.
Denise has them and they work wonderfully. It works really well. And you know, but it depends on the spirit. Well, and it could be the spirit and it could actually be the device too that some devices may be more sensitive than others.
So I was standing at the foot of the bed and I put one of the balls just kind of close by and I took the other one and just kind of chalk it up by the... Edward? Yeah. And it sat there for about five minutes and suddenly went off.
And I said, hey, no one's ever done that before. No one's ever touched that and made it go off. I said, can you do it again? And then the answer I got on the Ghost Neter Pro was no.
I was like, well, rude. So Chad, you have a phone app that will spit out words. And the thing with phone apps is I'm very leery about them. Like, Anise has one that I really like.
You've got this one that I quite like. Some of them are good. Some of them are bad. Like anything.
You know, you need to, if you want a phone app, download it, take it on some Ghost Neter Pro, you see if it doesn't. I tend to not use them. But you know, other people do and they get good results. Well, Chad was standing in the corner and we were asking some yes, no questions.
And I believe we determined that they were type 3s and we asked if it was causing issues on purpose. And not two seconds later, the word that pops out of Chad's phone app is guilty. And we all burst out laughing. I actually have a good clip of it.
If we can figure out how to put it in the podcast and sound good, we'll put it on. But it was, we just all laughed. Yeah, the guilty might be a little bit quiet in this because I was in, actually, in the front room and they were down the hallway a little bit. And then the, I could have...
No, this one, you were in the room with us. No, I wasn't. I was sitting in the front room. Yes, I was sitting in the front room.
So it said two things that were very, very relevant the first time you were in the room with us. And which ones were those? The guilty. You were in the room with us.
And I don't remember what the other one was. What, going? So it, well, yeah, two or three times it said very relevant words. And usually when you're using these, you'll be talking to someone about, you know, how did you die?
Or are you happy being here? And Apple say things like pizza. You know, things that are not relevant at all. But there's two times that just in very quick succession, we got answers that were extremely relevant.
And I don't call that a coincidence. So there was a small portal that had been opened up inadvertently in the basement. And it was in one of the roommate's rooms. And they didn't tell us that we couldn't go in there and she was there.
I don't know, something just didn't feel right about going down there and closing that portal ourselves. So we called our friend Newman and he closed the portal. And here's- Remotely. Remotely.
And the interesting thing is I just called him and said, Hey Newman, we've got a portal that we need close. Can you get it close to us? And he said yes. And at one point he said, you know, this spirit is causing water problems in your home.
And the homeowner and his girlfriend at the same time went, Ah, you know, because like I said, when we walked in, the first thing they said is, you know, sorry, we've got water dripping out of our fire alarm. So that was really cool. Anyway, we got those type three cleared out. We kind of let the homeowners know what they could do to keep those out.
And that was a fun one. Yeah, and that app is called GhostTube and it's available on the Apple store and also the play store for Google. I found it to be quite good. There's actually got three kind of versions of it.
There's a one that provides the words that we were just talking about. There's another one that's like the SLS that we use, where it uses a technology that kind of maps. People, I haven't been really successful with that one yet. I have seen that from other people using that app at Petitnite when we were there that one of our patrons, Samara got a really, really great- The best.
Oh, I just got something possessed is what I just said. Awesome. I hope one of us isn't possessed. But Samara had some really interesting video with YouTube SLS app and then there's one I haven't tried yet.
It's the YouTube Vox app, but they're all available. They're free for download. You can get extended versions for, you know, two or three bucks a month for $10 a year or something like that. And this is not, you know, a paid promotion or anything like that.
But if you're interested in finding a tool for your phone, you might want to look into those. And regardless of the phone word app you get, I've run into probably half a dozen or so that people have had. And they've also the same thing. When you first turn it on, you need to just ignore the words out of it for like the first 15, 20 minutes because it'll just kind of check out, like it's warming up some random words.
So kind of ignore it for 15 minutes. And this one does not have any, and it actually says as you go through the screen at the beginning, there are no preloaded words in its dictionary. So some of them, they have some preloaded words and things that come up that they make the claim here that there are no preloaded words for these apps. Yeah.
And you know, and I can understand people listening to this going, oh, yeah, you know, everyone from Wilder word is just going to be relevant, you know, randomly. But we had last night, we had too many that were relevant. I mean, just timing, I mean, both from a timing standpoint. Yeah.
Not only the word was relevant toward discussion, but the timing was like, no, that's for real. And we had another investigation, and this was up in bin Ogden, and Raven and I were doing it. And I was a different app that generated words like this. And that one we were very, very, you know, that app had been so, so for me.
But that night it was like right on. Wasn't it? Remember that? It was right on.
And so I don't know of the validity of these all the time, every time, but sometimes things get on and it seems much, much more than coincidental. Right. So one last thing about this residential, then we'll move on to our main topic for the night. But, you know, I had mentioned before that at this house, we were all attacked in one way or another, because you know, there was four type three's there.
And we called Sean, he closed the portal, you know, we got everything crossed over. And after we hung up, and I hadn't mentioned that we got attacked, right? Because nothing was overly egregious, but I haven't had that many people get attacked on an investigation before. And not two minutes later, his wife Michelle calls back and she's never done this.
We've called them half a dozen times at least in the last year, and she's never called me back. And she called back and she said, I just really feel like someone has been attacked. Someone has been attacked. I'm like, yeah, all of us.
So she helped clear us all and made us feel better. But when we left, the house felt a lot lighter and a lot clearer. So we weren't glad we were able to go in there and help. Yeah, it was a really, really interesting investigation.
For the main topic, it's brought to you by Otayo, Mexican restaurant. They have fine dining. If you're watching this on the YouTube, we're going to have a picture of one of the dishes that they have up there. Raven was watching our YouTube video the other night, and look at that and goes, wow, that looks good.
I'm like, we need to go again, other than the avocados. But yeah, speaking of avocados, I'm not going anywhere at that. Just be thinking, thinking avocados. Avocados are discussing us the most disgusting food on the planet.
If you like avocados or never have them, please go eat one so that the avocado industry doesn't hate me. But I don't like avocados. So as our main topic is brought to you by Otayo, Mexican restaurant, here's Raven with our main topic. So we don't know how to say our main topic.
It's up for debate. Should we spell it first? Well, I don't even know how to say. APP-ORT.
So some people say, A port, some people say, A port. And as I've been looking through it, I've seen most with the airport. Now, when I first started looking for it, I started looking under the one P spelling. Apparently, that means on the left side of a boat.
So if you want to do your own research and look at more about this after you've listened to the podcast, put two P's in there, APP-ORT. And then you will find some relevant articles and youtubes. But with the one P-E- There's nothing. I'm going, what are we going to talk about this week?
Because I couldn't find anything. I pulled it up and I was like, oh, dang. I know what these are. I actually have a book that I read quite a while ago, which is really good that we're going to refer to a little bit later.
But it's called Demon Haunted, True Stories from the John Zappas Vault. And it's, if you've read any of the John Zappas books, he writes them with Rosemary, Julie, Guiley. I can't pronounce anything tonight. G-U-I-L-E-Y.
And Rosemary, if you were listening, I'm so sorry that I put your last name. But we'll reference this book a little bit while we're talking about it. If you've never read any of John Zappas' books, they are fascinating. They're easy reads.
They're interesting reads. And when I say that, because I'm back in school and I've been reading a lot of textbooks that are all in dry and hard to get through, John Zappas' books are wonderful to read. They're just, they're very entertaining and very informative as well. So now we've talked about how to pronounce APPORT.
That's it, gonna. What is an APPORT? So I actually found quite a nice definition. So an APPORT is a transference of an object known or unknown.
Yeah, you know, something that's similar to you or not from one place to another. It's also something that disappears and later reappears in places recently searched, but you know, not previously found in that place. Or it's an object completely unknown, appearing just out of the blue, often connected to someone who's deceased. So, you know, if you're sitting in your bedroom and you look over and suddenly your deceased grandmother's ring is on your nightstand and you have no idea how it could have gotten there and your house knows how it could have gotten there.
It's an APPORT. Yeah, interesting stuff. There's a really interesting YouTube video and I'll let you pronounce the name because you're working with the Muslim. Amir Amadon.
Okay Amir Amadon. Amadon? Amadon? Amadon?
Anyway, that's that's Raven's... If you need to know how to pronounce stuff tonight, we are not your people. The YouTube is, you know, the APPORT's of Amir Ataman, I can't even say it, with Stanley Kripplinniger. And it's a very interesting, about a 30 minute one where they talk about this medium in the Philippines that could make things appear, that could make these APPORT's happen.
And a lot of different things and things with materialized, almost on command. You know, when people, there's been people that have said things like, you know, are they faked and we'll talk about some of the fake mediums that have been done before, but this guy studying this stuff and he tends to think that they are real. And so that is done by the new thinking, Jeffrey Merlove podcast, if you want to go out and look at that or YouTube videos. It was really interesting, but things like polished stones, medallions, and emerald, other coins, appeared literally out of nowhere with him.
And it was almost on demand and things that were relevant to the people that he was dealing with where he didn't really have the background on them. One of them that they talked about was a guy said something about, you know, he needed to get a present for his, you know, his 12 year old, his 12 year old girl. And a, you know, he hadn't talked with them before, he hadn't given any information about that. And a ring appeared that had 12 little gemstones in it.
It was really quite fascinating, you know, for the 12 year old that fit her, they said. So was he saying that, I mean, was he making things a port or was he in contact with spirits and having? He was making in contact with spirits. He wasn't, it was not him doing this.
This was his gift with the paranormal that made it happen. So it's really quite an interesting thing. And they talk about that there's, you know, some, some different museums that have objects that have been, you know, reported, in fact, there's actually a term for it though they sometimes call them PPOs, which are permanent paranormal objects. Because with the paranormal, oftentimes there's not a physical thing there.
A lot of times it's energy, a lot of times it's, you know, an orb on a camera or something like that, as evidence. But with a ports, it's these are real things. And whether they're things that have been moved from point A to point B in your house, were things that just materialized, you know, it's like where did that come from? And it wouldn't even necessarily have to be from a medium or something else.
I mean, it can just appear. Right. And there's things kind of are all over the place with this. And what I mean by that is I found an article that talked about, oh, if it's neatly stacked, it can be gifts.
And I thought, well, that's cool. Like I get from an angel neatly stacked. And then I said, but it can also be connected to polar guys or negative activity. So if things are stacked up in your house that have a ported, yeah, we know.
Now you brought this up and talked to me about it before about, like when people find pennies and what the meaning behind that is. Right. So like if you find a penny or a feather, butterflies, those are probably the three more common ones. Those are angels speaking to you.
And that's, you know, the thing, the specific thing. But when I read this about things being stacked, when I first read it, the reason that kind of made me go, huh, is as far as being gifts from angels, the first time I heard of, I mean, the first time I heard of anything being stacked was at Cleves House. And if you've been listening to us for years and years back, I don't know who Cleves is. He's a client of ours.
We went and did several investigations at his house. His house was highly active. Yeah, very dark. When we talk about dark, his was one of those very, very dark investigations.
Right. And we actually, if you go back, we have a podcast where we have Cleve on and he talks about everything that goes on in his house and crazy. But one of the things that happened to him, or a couple of the things that happened to him, I mean, his keys would disappear from one place and appear somewhere else. And he lived alone, keep that in mind.
He was in the shower one day and he came out and all of his couch cushions were stacked up in a pile. And, you know, so that would be considered an a port, a port, I like a port. I don't know why. A port.
Tomato, tomato. Anyway, I'll probably say it both ways. Sorry, forgive me. Yeah, for most of these where things just appear, not disappear, but just appear.
Oftentimes they're small objects, jewelry, small rocks, pebbles, coins, medallions, you know, we're not, you know, teleporting or affording cars and motorcycles, generally. And it's not something that just appears out of nowhere all the time. Sometimes it can be like the ring, but sometimes it's just something appearing. It should have been in another place.
It should have been in another place. And you have no way to explain how it got there. You know, it wasn't, oh, you know, I was gone for five hours and maybe grandma moved it. You know, I mean, there's, there's no explanation.
So I found a fun story. And there's a woman, she lived in LA, I would credit her name, but it was on one of those weird answering things. You know, when you post a question and people post a dancer, so I would credit her name, but she didn't really have it there. But she had this old hinge, like two hinges.
And these hinges were special hinges. They weren't just like any hinge at each screw into wood. They were special hinges that were designed to screw into glass. And she didn't want to lose them.
And so she had them in a vase. And the vase was, it doesn't say exactly where, but she said it was in a place where visitors couldn't just randomly go, oh, what's this? I'm assuming it was probably tucked away in her bedroom or her personal bathroom or something. And she kept these in this vase because in order to replace these hinges, it would have been extremely difficult because the things they hooked to were antique and it's not something you could just pop down to Home Depot and get a new one.
And so she had them there to keep safe. Well, fast forward a few months and she wants to use them. And didn't say why she didn't use them for months, but that's not relevant to the story. And she went to go get it, she got the vase.
Well, one of the hinges and the two screws that went with it were gone. And her, I can't remember it was a boyfriend or husband, but her significant other had passed away a while back. And you know, she's looking for these hinges. She can't find them anywhere.
She's thinking how, you know, who would have moved them? She lived alone. You know, like I said, where she had this vase, she said that it's not some place that visitors would get to, you know, something that only she knew about. And so she's trying to figure out how she's going to make this work with one hinge and you know, she's, you know, doing all these brain gymnastics because she doesn't want to get rid of this antique, these hinges go on.
And she says that she was kind of mulling this over and, you know, feeling sad and frustrated because she didn't know where it went. She said, I very distinctly heard my boyfriend's voice say, Bobby, over here. And you know, she turned in the direction of the voice. And she had, she had mentioned before that she had had contact with him a couple times since he had passed.
So to hear his voice didn't figure out because she'd heard it a couple times before. But she turned, you know, in the direction of the voice and on her bed, her neatly made bed, were these hinges and two screws just sitting there. And she said, not only do I live alone, not only had I not really had anybody over for a few days, she said, I just washed my sheets that morning and made my bed. You know, and this was evening by the time she was looking for, but she's like, I sat on my bed to read and she's like, if those had been there at any point during the day, I would have seen them.
And anyway, so that is a story of report. Okay, so some other things about airports, not airports, airports or airports. We don't know. In England, there was some things called the school experiments kind of like the chewing tobacco school.
Does it say school or school? I got school like the chewing tobacco. Okay, again, do not use us as a reference on how to pronounce or say anything. We suck at it today.
But these were some experiments that were produced or done. And I didn't get a date when they were done, but I think it was back in the early 1900s, maybe a little bit later, kind of when spiritualism was still pretty prevalent and kind of a big deal in England and in the United States. And they actually, there were a lot of mediums that would be produced, airports in their sciences that have had, sciences and things would be produced, and things like jewelry would appear, family jewelry, different things. And it was really quite an interesting, you know, phenomenon.
But the school experiments actually put them into a control area. And many, many of the mediums of the day, you know, tried this and they found things. They found different ways that these, you know, the coins or jewelry or different things were appearing. And so they were able to debunk a lot of them, but there were a number of them that they couldn't debunk, that there were some some mediums that this happened.
And again, it's kind of one of those things that kind of like with our ghosting, it doesn't always happen every time. Okay, when it is bad is when it does happen and you prove that it was done fallaciously or, you know, with a string or someone, you know, tried to make a big incident and it's like, oh, that's obviously you know, fake evidence. But with these school experiments, there were some of the mediums that they couldn't debunk. And again, these were in controlled areas.
They were able to debunk a lot of them because it was a controlled area and they could be able to identify things and how they did this and that kind of stuff. And I thought that was kind of interesting. So, you know, sometimes they came down on strings and different things and they were able to do it. But it's one of those things with anything paranormal, you've got to be in a mindset of, is this real?
Is this really happening? Is there another explanation on that? How can you do that? And that's one of the things we look at is we go into investigations, we're not going into prove that something is there, we're going into the idea of trying to discredit it and understand why it's not and see if there's reasons that it would be, you know, like with the orbs, is it just dust that's moving, you know, or there are things that make sense of why it wouldn't be paranormal.
We're not out looking, you know, we like to prove the paranormal when we get evidence and we have things, but we don't want to fake evidence. We don't want to fake pictures and put fake pictures up or anything like that. Yeah, if we go in someplace and we can't explain what's going on, then, you know, please be paranormal and hopefully we'll get some sort of evidence. But if we go into someplace and there's nothing there, then there's nothing there.
And we're not going to make stuff up to do that. That's one of the things when we're on our public investigations. We tell people, you know, we don't know what's going to happen tonight. There's nothing that we can make happen.
This isn't a, you know, this isn't a spook alley. We're not going to have things jump out at you that we know about, but they're very well maybe paranormal activities. I think there's paranormal activity in most places. One of the interesting things is I was looking at watching another documentary on it and they were talking about airports and teleportation and the idea of some of the things that they're doing now with quantum mechanics and quantum particle theory.
And they actually can do some minor teleportation things with calcium atoms where they can move them from one place to another. And there's some areas in the quantum mechanics where what do they call them? Entanglements and particles where particles can be what they call entangled and you can actually spin a particle in one place and the counterpart particle will spin in the other place and they're different from each other. And it's a, you know, how can you do something that's acting here that's reacting in a different location?
And some of those kinds of things are some of the things that they're looking at that could have impacts into how airports and teleportation can work and how things can appear and disappear. Because they're actually seeing that on a quantum level with a lot of the things that they're doing. And I thought that was quite interesting from a scientific standpoint. Yeah, Chad, use the word quantum and scientific in my brain.
Just check right out. Okay, Miss Unicornbury. Okay. We actually, okay, so let me go into this book a little bit.
Let me just retell the, let me tell you the name of the title again. Unicornbury to work right there. It's called Beaman Haunted True Stories from the John Zafus Vault. It's really good.
So basically he goes through and each, you know, each chapter is its own story of a case that he's worked on. And I mean, you know, the demon box, foul things and containers. I'm just flipping through the burned altar. Very interesting stories, the thing in the stone egg.
So, you know, he's talking about things. And at the very end is this section. And he calls that he calls them a couple different things. John Zafus calls them walkabout objects.
He actually has a couple of different, different things. Let's see. So he calls them, okay, so here's, here's his definition. So I won't read you like any stories, but I will tell you a couple of the classifications that are used in this book.
Walkabout, that is an article that disappears from a known location and is found later in another and often bizarre location without explanation for how it got there. And overall, you could call all of these jots or joddles. So all of these things would fall under the category of jots or joddles. Oddly enough, he doesn't use the word a port.
Okay. So I don't know. To me, a port and walk about sound the same. There's a comeback.
That's an article that disappears from a known location and later, sometimes minutes or perhaps even years mysteriously reappears in the same location. So, you know, it says in here, it could also be a special case of a walkabout. There's a flyaway and a flyaway is an article that disappears from a known location and never reappears. A turnip, an article known to an observer, but from an unknown location is found in a place where it was previously known to be.
A windfall, which is a turnip in which an article is not known to the observer. And a trade-in is a flyaway followed by a windfall that is closely similar to the article flown away. Interesting. So yeah, that's what he talks about.
Anyway, so I was reading about walkabouts. Well, okay, let me start the story correctly. So Chad and I have this Bluetooth speaker. It's an older one, so it's kind of big as far as Bluetooth speakers go, but it was one of the first ones that came out or at least an early one.
I don't know. It was the first one. And my youngest daughter at the time. It's around six by three by two.
By two? Thick. Maybe one and a half? Yeah, probably not long.
Not six long. Yeah, so it's not very big. And my youngest daughter at the time has been several years ago, but at the time she was about three. And Chad had somehow made it so that she could listen to little stories on it.
And she would walk around with this on her shoulder and look like she was from the 80s with her boom box on her shoulder. Okay, can you get in a visual image there? And she would listen to these little stories while she walked around the house. Well, one day it was gone.
And so I'm thinking, okay, she's three, right? It could be anywhere. And so I'm getting down on a three-year-old level. I'm on my knees walking around the house trying to find where she put this.
And clean rooms really good. I looked everywhere. I probably looked for this for two years. Maybe more.
And again, this was years and years ago. And so I could not find it. Could not find it. And I thought she probably threw it away.
Yeah, I've got a trash bag and trash garbage can. And we dumped it out without knowing what was in it. I mean, yeah, things happen. And so I'd kind of written it off as, oh, we'll never see it again.
Well, fast forward several years. And Chad's daughter had gone on the mission. And we had some of her stuff stored in a basement room. And I'm jumping ahead in the story.
We have a room in the basement that if water, if bad water things are going to happen, they happen in that room. Anytime there's a leak in a pipe and we've got some of that old grape pipe that they don't use anymore because it just springs leaks to the heck of it. So that room's not finished. We had water in that room last week.
Anyway, so that's a whole other story that is not relevant to this podcast. We'll have to ask me about it later or read my Facebook. Anyway, so we had had a major, major water issue and Chad and the plumber had spent in this room hours, not only hours trying to diagnose the problem, but we had spent hours in there cleaning up water. We'd been back and forth in that room.
I cannot tell you how many times over the course of a week. So go back to Don Stodders. So what maybe a month after all these water problems, she came over to find some stuff in this room that she had in storage with us. And earlier that day, the day that she came over, I had read this book and she actually got out with her to help her fix her car.
And so I was home by myself. And I read this little thing about walkabouts. And I thought, huh, because it made me think of the speaker, because the speaker just gone poof. And it was a big enough nice enough item that it wasn't just something that you write off.
It's like, that was like a $80-100 speaker. It's like that was a nice speaker. So I remember in the book, it talks about if you want to have something come back, you just demand it back. And this is when I was first really getting into paranormal.
And so I thought, huh, I'm going to give this a try. So I was sitting down. And for some reason to me, it felt more formal if I stood up. So I stood up.
And I'm alone in the house. But I still feel like an absolute idiot doing this. And just really loud. I'm like, OK, you know what?
I was also missing a pair of scissors. Cut Co. really nice $100 scissors. So I stood up in the room feeling like an idiot.
And I said, OK. I don't know who I'm even talking to, right? I'm like, uh, I had a Bluetooth speaker, a little black Bluetooth speaker, and a really nice pair of white handled scissors just disappear. Yeah, bring him back.
I need him back. OK, so just I don't know where you put him, but I need him to come back. Not five minutes later, Chad and his daughter come in and they went downstairs to find her stuff. Probably 10 minutes after that, he came up and said, Hey, look what I found.
And he had the speaker in a sand. And I said, you are freaking kidding me. And he goes, and he's looking at me like, why are you so animated about this? And you know, I told him when I had done, I said, where did you find that?
And he said, Oh, you know, right when you walk into that room, we know with all the water problems, it was just right there on the shelf. But it was high. It was high. It was high.
It was clear at the top. There's no way Molly could have put that on that top shelf. Right. And we have been in that room for hours.
And you would have seen it. Yeah, I mean, because when I went in with Hannah, it was like, Hey, there's the speaker. Yeah, it's not like you were digging around and found it. Yeah, I mean, we were looking for things, but we weren't looking on that shelf.
We were looking, you know, on other shelves. And so, you know, it was like, that was not, but it's not like we've never spent time in that room and never, you know, when I say it was, it was clearly within I shot, it wasn't like it was attacked in behind something. It was it was clearly within I shot, but it was high. It was nowhere that Molly could have put it up there.
Right. So that is that is my, this is there's never did appear. I think they just got thrown. Oh, they reappeared.
They came and cut code delivered to your new pair. I had to order a new pair, but my original pair never reappeared. We're hoping they show up. They're really nice sisters.
They cut pennies. Don't do that. That's defacing my name. FBI will come get you, but if you wanted to, you could don't ask me how I know that.
Okay. So that's that's walkabouts. And if you want to read a really good book, it talks about walkabouts and it talks about some haunted items. So there's a little book review for you.
All right. Like, that was a great topic. That was very, very interesting and applicable to things that have happened directly to us. So go out to our shop at dancemarinormal.com shop and get some sage oil, get some other things.
We're really excited about that. Hit our tick tock page, our YouTube page. We're up to like 140 subscribers on YouTube. We'd love to get some more.
If you're not already subscribed out there for us, please go out YouTube.com slash advanced paranormal and you go right in. You'll see the little, the little ghost with the headphones. That's us. Please go on and subscribe.
We'd love to get some more subscriptions there. It's kind of fun. On our YouTubes, we oftentimes will include photographs and different things in the YouTube of things we talk about here. When I prepare the YouTube zone, go out and look for things that I can put in that are, that are applicable to the topic that we're doing.
Okay. So our junk drawer is brought to you by the Hub Theater. We're definitely going to go there again. So if you want six minutes and 44 seconds of your life to just go away and never come back again, you can go to YouTube and look up haunted avocados or our ghosts moving fruits around.
Okay. I ran across the, you know, the best junk drawers are the ones that just kind of fall in my lap. If I go looking for something, this one actually kind of falls in with our wacky paranormal news. If you remember that.
The thing with wacky paranormal news is when you try to find it, you can't find it. It literally has to just volunteer that. So this actually came up when I was looking for a ports with one P. The fellow who did it, I don't think English is his first language.
And I don't mean that in a derogatory way. Anybody that learns a second language might have to, I'm trying to learn a second language. It's hard folks. It's difficult.
So I'm not making fun of him. The point is I don't know if this is real and I don't know if it's trying to be funny. There's something thrown in there about how tomatoes have salmonella DNA and you some more tomatoes and you need avocados. But I need to tell you the story.
Hey, you ready? I'm ready. Just another reason to not eat avocados. I love avocados.
Guacamole is delicious. I get ravens. Guacamole and avocado is only going to mix. Yeah, I have to say give it to me on the side and then he gets it because it's just disgusting.
Okay. And it's not the texture. I'm putting the picture of the avocados above here. If you're listening to her watching this on YouTube.
Yeah, people say that the I don't have issues with food texture. Avocados just have a gross flavor. That's just more for the rest of you though. Right?
All right. So there's this man. He was working. He worked at, I'm not going to assume like a deli.
