Aaron Dean Trial: State Rests After TWO(!) Days--WTF?

Yesterday, December 7 (Pearl Harbor Day), the prosecution in the murder trial of Aaron Davis abruptly rested about halfway through the day, surprising everybody. Court is out of session so the surprised defense has a couple of days to schedule their witnesses. Worth police officer Aaron Dean responded to a call by a concerned neighbor for a welfare check on a home with the front door left open and the lights on.While investigating around the outside of the home with a flashlight, Dean observed a person with a gun inside the home, just feet away. Dean ordered the person to drop the gun, then quickly fired a single shot. That single shot killed Atatiana Jefferson, who was in the home babysitting her 8-year-old nephew.Within two days Dean had been charged with murder, and within four he had resigned his position as a police officer.NEW!
