Aaron Kominos-Smith and the Big Bet on Himself

Send us Fan MailAlex Kominos-Smith graduated from Cornell with an architecture degree and was ready to attend Columbia for a career in real estate, eyeying the type of good jobs that two Ivy League degrees should promise. But he chose to pursue stand-up instead. Now 18 years after hs opted not to go to Columbia, he's recording his first special on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Room 52 in New York City. He's been doing stand-up for about 20 years, beginning with improv in high school, and he's headlined all over the country to get ready for his taping. Grab a ticket for the 6:30 or 9 p.m. shows.
