AARP Alaska hosts a series of free webinars on benefits and services for veterans
Starting next Tuesday, August 10th, “A-A-R-P Alaska” will host a series of free webinars—to help veterans, throughout the state, better-understand the various benefits that they might be eligible for. Madeline Holdorf [as in “hold”] is the group’s state-president—and a member of the Auxiliary at “The American Legion’s” “Jack Henry Post One”… “Over the next couple of months, our webinars will cover all sorts of issues that affect Alaska’s veterans—and their caregivers. For example, we’ll help them learn more about the many programs that the ‘V-A’ offers. We’ll also cover the roles that both local and national ‘Veterans Service Organizations’ can play, in helping veterans get all of the benefits that they deserve. And, we’ll explain the differences between ‘Medicare’ and ‘Tricare’—especially for those who might be eligible for both. All of these webinars are free—and we encourage both veterans and their caregivers to attend.” The first webinar in the series is about “V-A”-programs for those who want to stay in their own home; it’s scheduled for Tuesday, the 10th, starting at 10 a-m. Four other webinars are planned for the next several weeks—through early November. To learn more, and to register, visit “a-a-r-p”-dot-org-slash-“a-k”.
