AARP Alaska provides up-to-date information about COVID-19 vaccines

Many Alaskans who are eligible to get a “COVID-19”-vaccination have found it difficult to make an appointment. That’s why “A-A-R-P Alaska” is providing up-to-date information about the vaccine; the group’s Daryl Royce explains… “Alaskans who are 50 or older—and either have certain medical conditions, or are frontline essential-workers—are now eligible to get their vaccine. That’s in addition to all Alaskans who are 65 or older—who already were eligible. And, even though appointments may still be limited, more are being added. If you’re unable to set up an appointment online, please call the state’s ‘Department of Health and Social Services’—at 907/646-3322. Also, local information can be available via your area’s ‘Emergency Operation Center’—or nearby public-health centers. And, once you’ve made an initial appointment, contact your provider—who can advise you on how to get your second dose.
