AARP Maryland urges local groups to apply now for this year’s Community Challenge grants
A-A-R-P’s “Community Challenge”-program is now accepting applications for this year’s grants. And, A-A-R-P Maryland’s state-director, Hank Greenberg, encourages all eligible groups—throughout the state—to apply… “We are thrilled to bring this grant-opportunity back to Maryland again this year—as we’ve seen tangible, long-term results from previous grantees. The program is part of A-A-R-P’s nationwide ‘Livable Communities’-initiative—which supports the efforts of communities to become great places to live for people of all ages, especially people 50-plus. The A-A-R-P ‘Community Challenge’ is open to eligible nonprofits and government-organizations. The grants fund quick-action, innovative projects related to public places, transportation, housing, digital connections, community-resilience, diversity-and-inclusion, and much more. It’s a great opportunity for organizations seeking to make a positive impact in their community.” This year’s application-deadline is March 15th.
