AARP Pennsylvania develops a guide to help family caregivers with their responsibilities
November is “National Family-Caregivers Month”, to honor the over 40-million caregivers, across the country—including the more than one-point-six-million Pennsylvanians who support aging parents, ill spouses, or other loved-ones with disabilities who remain at home. And now, “A-A-R-P Pennsylvania” has developed a guide that aims to help them with their responsibilities. Valda Branison is a volunteer for the group… “Caregiving can be a 24/seven job that’s emotionally, physically, and financially difficult. That’s why we’ve developed the ‘Family-Caregiver Resource Guide’: It’s designed to help both family-members and friends find the services and support that they might need—throughout their caregiving-journey. It also features important resources on health, finances, legal aid, housing, transportation, and much more. We understand that caregiving might be one of the most-important and -challenging roles that a person will ever take on. Yet, no matter where they are in their own journey, having resources at their fingertips will make the process easier.” To learn more, visit “a-a-r-p”-dot-org-slash-“p-a”. And, to order a copy of the “Family-Caregiver Resource Guide”, call 1-877-333-5885.
