AB224 about more than a new school, it's the potential

Well, you did it.  After years of planning and running the numbers and after months of lobbying the legislature, there is progress in sight of retiring two century-old schools in Ely.  And while much work is still to be done, children in White Pine County will soon be safely educated in a new kindergarten through 8th grade school in White Pine County.  Congratulations to Adam Young and Paul Johnson for a job well done. The need for the school is just one step in making White Pine County a place not only safe for our children, but also making White Pine County attractive for economic development, for future business. You see, the County Commission forgets frequently one important factor.  Sometimes, to lower those taxes they worry so much about, you have to spend a little too.  No responsible business would locate somewhere without safe schools.  But then, maybe their time in school was insufficient, particularly in economics.
