ABA Section of Antitrust Law: The State Attorneys General Update

Ever wonder about the role of attorneys general in antitrust cases? In this report from the ABA Section of Antitrust Law Spring Meeting 2018, host Anna Aryankalayil talks with lawyers from three state AG offices, Vic Domen at the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office, Gwendolyn Cooley at the Wisconsin Department of Justice, and Trish Conners at the Florida Attorney General’s Office about the role they play when it comes to antitrust and consumer protection law, changes in administrations--both on the state and federal levels--and what it’s like to work with other AGs as multistate investigations continue to increase. Additionally, the three AG officials give tips to any law students or lawyers interested in learning more about antitrust and how to get involved. Vic Domen is the senior antitrust counsel at the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office. Gwendolyn Cooley is the assistant attorney general for antitrust at the Wisconsin Department of Justice. Trish Conners is chief deputy attorney general at the Florida Attorney General’s Office and the co-chair of the Consumer Protection Committee for the ABA Antitrust Section.
