Abbott & Costello -- Lou Substitutes For Joe Dimaggio

In this episode, a telegram is delivered from Joe DiMaggio, who's recovering from foot surgery in the real world. Bud Abbott gets the idea of visiting Mrs. Wetwash, whose late husband was a professional ball player, and he's hoping she'll loan Lou one of his uniforms. Bud wants to put Lou on a rigorous exercise routine and there are jokes about baseball. Eventually, Lou Costello has been invited to replace Joe DiMaggio on the New York Yankees.
