ABC and SBS defend Middle East conflict coverage at Antisemitism Royal Commission hearing

The ABC and SBS have defended their coverage of the conflict in the Middle East after coming under scrutiny at the Royal Commission into Antisemitism and Social Cohesion. Australia's Special Envoy to combat Antisemitism, Jillian Segal, told the inquiry both broadcasters should establish an independent oversight body to strengthen public confidence in their reporting. The ABC and SBS rejected claims of bias, maintaining their coverage has been accurate, balanced and impartial.
