Thank you so much to Abbey for commissioning this episode! I'm so excited to be starting this book, because damn but it starts out with a serious fucking gut punch. Sabriel and Touchstone are killed, abruptly and brutally, in a prologue that's just kind of a shock and which I had to reread to be sure that I wasn't misreading. Because GODDAMN. Then there's the tension of what's going on with Lirael and Sameth, and they wind up in the same scenario as Sabriel a couple decades back...they have to get the fuck out of the Abhorsen's house because they've been cornered. And the only real option is down a well with something horrible hiding in it. NO THANKS. Thanks so much for listening!
