ABLE United continues to help Floridians with disabilities become first-time savers and investors
For more than 30 years, “Florida Prepaid” has helped more than a million families save for higher-education expenses. And, their newest program is helping individuals with varying disabilities become savers and investors, for the first time. Director John Finch has more… “‘ABLE United’ offers savings- and investment-accounts that allow individuals with a qualifying disability to save more than two-thousand dollars—without impacting public-benefit programs, such as ‘Medicaid’ and ‘Supplemental Security Income’. Contributions go in after tax, but have the potential to grow or receive tax-free interest. Funds in an ‘ABLE’-account can be used for everyday living-expenses—or for long-term savings-goals. Join over 10-thousand Floridians that have opened ‘ABLE United’-accounts. Now, individuals—with the help of their friends, family, and others—can save up to 17-thousand dollars, per year, with our increased contribution-limit.” To learn more about Florida’s disability-savings program, visit “able-united”-dot-com.
