On this edition of the show, Big Fight Weekend boxing insider Dan Rafael is back with a one on one exclusive conversation with former multi-division world champion, now Showtime Boxing analyst Abner Mares.Mares intends to return to the ring in September for the first time in over four years, when he battles Miguel Flores on the undercard of the Showtime PPV with heavyweights Andy Ruiz and Victor Ortiz in Los Angeles.Dan wants to hear more from the 36 year old on why he wants back in the ring, now, as opposed to just commentating at ringside. The former world champ at Bantamweight, Super Bantamweight and Featherweight also talks about his world title career that saw him fight two tremendous slugfest title bouts with Leo Santa Cruz.
