Abortion in Film with Eileen Tull

from The HisTerical Society Feminist Podcast · host Pamela Torrance

Join Eileen Tull and I as we take a tour of abortion depiction in film over several decades.  From Fast Times to the Alien franchise, we cover the most prominent films and discuss how the topic has evolved over time.  Interesting to see how Eileen and my perspectives differ, as we represent two generations with distinct backgrounds and frames of reference.  Eileen Tull is a theatremaker, writer, and arts educator based in Chicago. Her work has been seen all over the country including the San Francisco Fringe, Minnesota Fringe, United Solo Festival, and various One Minute Play Festivals. In Chicago she has worked with Theatre Wit, Factory Theatre, Broken Nose, You're Being Ridiculous, Whiskey Radio Hour, and Sappho's Salon, a multidisciplinary variety show that she co-hosted from 2015-2020. She is the founder of Fat Theatre Project, a new creative collective that tells stories by/ about/with fat people.  https://eileentull.com/#AbortioninFilm #ProChoiceFilms #EileenTull #FeministPodcast #TheHisTericalSociety
