About the Girl Scout Gold Award and Hearts of Gold

Welcome to the Hearts of Gold podcast where Gold Award Girl Scouts share their experiences. The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. It is earned while in High School and is a project consisting of: identifying a community issue, creating a proposal and presenting to the council's Gold Award Committee, at least 80 hours of personal time to complete the project, writing a final report and presenting it to the Gold Award Committee.
